Former super heavyweight boxing champ Butterbean has left fans gobsmacked with his dramatic weight loss, shedding a massive 15 stone.

At 57 years old, Butterbean revealed on social media last year that he had slimmed down from a hefty 515lbs to just over 300lbs, thanks to a dedicated yoga programme and assistance from WWE star Diamond Dallas Page. But in a recent TikTok video, the ex-champion really showcased the extent of his transformation.

Last month, in a video captioned 'weight loss #eating #diet #weightloss', Butterbean flaunted a pair of trousers that now look nearly twice his current waist size. Fans were quick to flood the comments section with praise for the former fighter's impressive efforts.

One admirer commented: "Good job Butterbean," and another expressed gratitude, saying: "Thank you for sharing your journey with us." A third fan cheered him on: "YOU are incredible, DON'T FORGET IT! ! ! ! ! " complete with love hearts, while a fourth remarked: "It's good to see you like this.", reports the Daily Star.

Another follower congratulated him: "Congratulations you are looking happier," and yet another added: "You are doing great dude."

The former heavyweight - whose real name is Eric Esch - made headlines last year after sharing a glimpse into his new exercise regimen on Instagram. Butterbean, who was topless for the candid weigh-in video back in August 2023, announced: "Hey everybody, Butterbean here - look, I've never done a public weigh-in, first time.

"I was 515 [lbs] about a year and a half ago, two years ago - so let's see what I weigh now." The scales subsequently flashed up with 303.8lbs (approximately 21.7 stone), indicating that he had lost an astounding 15 stone. His methods?

Yoga, coupled with a diet free from gluten and dairy.

Concerns about his health led him to take action, he revealed in a Sun interview conducted in 2022. During the chat, he shared: "I went through a stage where I was looking at the end of my life - not that I was going to kill myself. But in my life I was getting down, I was way overweight and just feeling down. I didn't know if I had a couple of years to live or not.

"I took a challenge to accept a docuseries or a reality show with Diamond Dallas Page and I've been here the past four months. And it's given me more energy and life since I was fighting regularly. But now, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life."

Many will recall Butterbean's part in the original Jackass film, during which he and Johnny Knoxville performed a memorable skit in a department store. Knoxville was left unconscious and required stitches following the stunt.

Meanwhile, Esch had a successful 77-10-4 career in boxing, defeating opponents such as George Linberger, Kenny Craven, Tim Burgoon and Patrick Graham. He also clinched the IBA World Super Heavyweight Championship and the WAA World Heavyweight Championship.

In addition to his boxing career, Esch also held a 3-4 record in kickboxing and a 17-10-1 record in MMA, with fights in renowned promotions like Pride, KSW and K-1.
